Cedric Bright

Cedric Bright

Dr. Cedric Bright is the Associate Dean for Inclusive Excellence at the University of North Carolina- Chapel Hill. He served as the 112th President of the National Medical Association. Dear to his heart, Dr. Bright also directs the nationally renowned UNC MED program which is among the nation’s most successful pipeline programs. He is also a board member for the National Medical Fellowship and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians

Ellis Ingram

Dr. Ellis Ingram previously served as the Dean of Diversity at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Among many other honors, he is the recipient of the Presidential Award for Mentoring Excellence. “Poppi” as children in his local community call him, is now retired from practicing pathology full time but remains active as a mentor and director for a nonprofit organization, Granny’s House, which is run by him and his wife.

Pamela Manning

Dr. Pamela Manning is a retired Superintendent of Cahokia School District in Illinois. She is an educator that has served as a Speech Pathologist, Teacher, Principal, and Adjunct Professor across the United States. Her awards include the Superior Performance Award from the U. S. Army as Program Director for Child Care Centers, Golden Apple Award for Teaching, Sandra L. Bailey Award for Teaching Autistic Children, Wise Owl Award for Educational Leadership, and State of Illinois Honor Roll Recognition for Increasing Test Scores.

Margaret Umah

MD – Vice President

Dr. Margaret Umah is a Family Medicine physician practicing in Richmond, Texas. She went to the University of Missouri for both undergraduate and medical school, where she was a Division 1 college athlete. She then completed her Family Medicine residency in Sugar Land, Texas, where she resides with her husband and three children. Asides from being an excellent clinician and seasoned mentor, she has experience in tutoring elementary students, serving as a teacher’s assistant, and tutoring college students.

Wally Hooser

Wally Hooser

MD

Born and raised in Texas, Wally graduated from the University of Texas in Austin and then from Baylor College of Medicine. He spent his residency getting board certified in both diagnostic radiology and nuclear medicine. He was a member and oversaw a major portion of the Radiology Consultants of Tulsa practice at Saint Francis Hospital for 25 years. He currently serves as a Clinical Associate Professor of Radiology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas.  (Bio copied from The Planetary Society).
