DiverseMedicine Inc. (DMI) is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization that operates in partnership with DiverseMedicine.com and BlackMenInWhiteCoats.org
Since 2011, DiverseMedicine, Inc. (DiverseMedicine) has been working to increase ethnic and socioeconomic diversity in the medical field. Founded on the belief that individuals from underrepresented racial groups and economically disadvantaged upbringings are capable of becoming highly effective clinicians and scientists, DiverseMedicine seeks to provide increased access to education, communal of support, and personalized mentorship.
Initially founded as a web-based mentoring platform, DiverseMedicine has provided guidance in the form of mentorship, webinars, and speaking engagements to thousands of premedical students. Though our organization works to increase the representation of all people of color in the medical field, our current efforts include a focus on our Black Men In White Coats program that specifically seeks to increase the number of black men in medicine.
